Keaton is 9 months old TODAY!

It's so crazy that Keaton is 9 months old already! WOW! How the time flies. The first 3 months obviously didn't, but wow, my little babe has really grown. He should be 6 months old, and developmentally, I think he's between 6-9 months, physically he's more in line with a 6 month old. He is my super sweet baby. He is always happy, rarely ever cries. He is so much fun and I love him so much.

Preschool No More/ Kindergarden here we come!

Sniff, Sniff. My son is going to Kindergarden this year! I cannot even believe it! He had a little Preschool Performance this week and it is so amazing the things he learned. And to see Kyler sit and listen for so long, I know his teachers did a great job!
This was Kyler pointing to another kid in the class as part of the song...

All the kids singing with their tonges out...
Kyler's teacher Miss Chris telling some cute facts about Kyler.

And finally, Kyler's teacher giving him one last goodbye hug. I never realized how incredibly important teachers are. I always knew they needed to be special, but really, it's amazing what the right teacher can do for your child!

SNIFF, SNIFF!

Who's Gonna Win?

Okay, so really there have been many great singers this year on American Idol. I am not faithful to watch this show every year, but last year and this year have been so great. So, let me know, whose gonna win?

The Amazing, can sing anything, but is a little over the top and crazy Adam?
Or the amazing soft voiced Kris, who can sing a good variety but is not as creative and can really sing only a few variations of songs...
Okay, so I think Adam will win, but they are both good. Who would you vote for?

Gone Hog Wild

My in-laws invited us to come to their neighbors "farm day" this past weekend and it was so much fun. They have tons of animals and the kids had a great time.

Now why arent my kids this gentle with each other? And yes, I am aware that my kids wear their BYU shirts ALOT! They typically wear them every Saturday with their Dad, but sometimes they beg and beg to wear them other days as well...and sometimes I fight them over it, sometimes I don't. I pick my battles depending on the day :)

Happy Mother's Day

5 years ago was my first Mother's Day as a mother. Before I became a mom, I knew of love, but did not know the kind of love that I know now. It is amazing what happens to you the day that you become a mother. It is instant. You are different without even trying or knowing it. Mother's instinct is something that I believe in- And looking back to the many years of growing up with my mother, who has been an amazing example to me, I did not know of the love that my mother had for me until I became a mom myself. I am so lucky to have a mom who loves and cares about me so much. And now I truly understand myself all that she has gone through for me to make sure that I was healthy and happy. Thank you mom, for being a wonderful example to me. Thank you for being hard on me when you needed to be, kind and gentle to me when you needed to. Thank you for always being a good listener and there when I needed you to be. You have always been such a rock in my life. I miss so much living closer, especially when it comes time for us to celebrate our birthdays...but I still feel like you are always here for me even when we are physically not near each other...
All these pictures are older, but very special to me...I love you mom! Happy Mother's Day to not only all the mothers out there, but all past, present and future mothers.

Desperate for an Ice Cream Cone

Well, I should not be surprised anymore by my mischevious little boy Brayden's actions. And yet again, today, I was. I was upstairs, he was downstairs. I hear screaming. This is nothing new around my house, especially because he had not taken a nap as usual, and he and Kyler are always fighting/messing around. The scream was not a holy terror scream. But then I notice, Kyler was upstairs in the playroom and could not have done something to Brayden.

I see Brayden walking up the stairs and I notice him holding his hand as if it hurts. Again, I am still not surprised by this, and nothing seems too alarming. But then I see all the BLOOD. Okay, now I am getting surprised. Okay, so there is a lot of blood. There is a huge slice in Brayden's middle finger and it is split open. Okay, there is blood everywhere now. I had a bowl in my hand and put Braydens hand over the bowl and we walk down the stairs. I wash out the gash.
What am I doing? Yes, this is helpful but I was totally out of it and not sure what I was doing...He needs to get stitches pronto. So we went to urgent care. And 5 stitches later, and of course, an ice cream cone...and we're good to go. Seriously though, I mean seriously, I am a mom of three boys, I am going to have to get used to this.

And how did Brayden split his finger open, you want to know? He tried to cut an orange by himself with a nice serrated knife. And yes, there was blood up and down my stairs, in the garage and everywhere. And thank heavens a nurse told me to pour hydrogen peroxide on the blood in the carpet and it would lift right out...and it did! So yay, we now seem to be normal again...at least I think...

And although this little white haired boy is fine now, and this little band-aid covers it...wow, even the doctor could not believe all the blood. It would not stop bleeding until she stitched it...I know, this is gross and I am sorry. I am still gagging from the blood myself...

Imagination Movers

I have had a situation, that has needed some imagination. You see I have two boys who want to go outside whenever they feel like it. They have even gone to the extent of going into the garage, opening a car door and clicking the garage clicker to get outside and play. I now lock my car doors. My one problem was the sliding glass door. Without actually driling into the metal for a special lock, I have tried to keep the kids out. But they would open it whenever they wanted and head down the road with me running after them. They actually usually just want to play in the front or the side and I tell them they have to wait until I can be out watching them. Then they take off on their own. Anyhow, the other day I was just so fed up and thought that I needed to figure out SOMETHING!! And I did!~ I took a pole that usually has a duster attached, but it unscrews, so I wedged up high into a small space at the top of the door and VIOLA! I was sooooo excited about this discovery. And the kids are very sad, but seriosly, I couldn't even shower without locking them in the room with me to guarantee they wouldn't escape!

Whoot, whoot!

Soccer Time

So the boys started soccer 5 weeks ago, but this week was the 2nd game they played due to poor weather and the week we were out of town. They have had fun. They always think the games are long and ask a million times when they will be over...but they are getting some energy out and I think they will do much better once the weather actually becomes nice enough for them to not have to wear sweaters underneath their uniforms.

Speaking of wearing sweaters under their uniforms- Braydens and Kylers uniforms are the smallest size they make...and little Brayden still drowns in his. The first game they played, he had a sweatershirt and jacket underneath and pants on underneath as well, and still drowned. Sorry about the behind shot of some guy in the pic, but this shows cutie Brayden about ready to do a corner kick!

Kyler in action..

Fun times.
