Alright mom's of thumb suckers- tell me your tricks. Keaton will be 3 in August and I think the time is nearing for us to attack this...especially since I imagine it might take some time to break the habit. So please, share your tricks, thoughts, secrets, ideas, etc, etc! Thank you...

we used the clear finger polish "stop" it smells sweet but when they put there finger in there mouth its NASTY... it took my daughter one time and she never sucked her fingers again. i found it at walmart
oh man .... I got nothin'. My little 9 month old is a thumb sucker as was I until I was 8. Yikes! And yes, I had braces for two years due to an over bite. Best of luck!
I'll be keeping an eye on this....both of my 4 year olds are thumb suckers. We tried the nasty polish stuff a year or so ago and it didn't even phase them. Maybe I'll pull it out and try it again, but I don't have high hopes for it.
I've heard of medical tape. and of that nasty nail polish stuff too. You'll just have to go through trial and error I think!
